test block 1
So, this is about as much as anyone sees of Jeff these days. Study, study, study, a few hours of sleep, and study, study, study...this is Jeff's life right now, and by extension mine too. When Jeff studies, he likes to snack. He has almost eaten everything we have in our home and I have already made multiple trips to the store this week.
Cookies for the mod. Of course, Jeff won't eat them, but I get to bake and decorate and eat a little cookie dough. So, it all works out.

baby cupcakes
Stephanie Owen, a girl in Jeff's mod, just had a baby boy. (right before first test block too!) So I made these cupcakes for her and the mod to celebrate. And oh, did I have fun decorating!!
While I was baking, I also made homemade pear-carmel ice cream to take to the Spouse Alliance ice cream social and chocolate chip cookies and sent a special one to Lindsey. My kitchen smelt delicious!! But I was good, I did no pre-tasting. I did lick the spoon when I was done however... benefits of working in the kitchen :)

the 23rd!
Today is the twenty-third day of the month and I have this new tradition of celebrating the twenty-third of each month (because one of the best things that ever happened to me happened on the 23rd only four months ago!!!)
So, married bliss continues and I only love him more! I wish we were doing something special to celebrate, but Jeff has his first test block next week and he is in intense study mode. (And he is rather sick...so pray for his stamina) But, we are both celebrating in our hearts!
In leu of the day, I am posting some of the beautiful pictures from our wedding...as I know many of you have been asking to see! Please enjoy looking through them. (I really do!) Also, there is a puzzle at the end!

Victorious Secret: game 2
Jeff's intramural football game was not as good this week as last. First off, he was hurt when one of his teammates and he collided. Will, his teammate, got a concussion and a black eye and Jeff probably broke his clavicle. I did not like that at all! But, I think he is having fun, so what are you to do? Also, notice on his catch, he is just in bounds. He did look awfully cute out there!
The team: (starting top left) Mark, Jeff, Ben, Will, Lance, Tyler, Zack, and Aaron.

the great state fair '06
I am so excited that the GREAT state fair of Oklahoma is opening tomorrow! Unfortunately, Jeff does not get to go with me this year for he must stay home to study. I don't think he is as broken up about it as I am--he does not share my enthusiasm for the fair.
Nonetheless, I will definitely be going,...and probably more than once. Don't worry, I will be bringing him home all the goodies I find, as well as taking him on the experience through my photojournalism. (Don't get too jealous, I will share some of them with you too!)
For now, we will just remember the wonderful fairs we have spent together. I love him so much!! And I love the fair...happy memories! I am getting more excited just talking about it!!

football time
We had a very wet weekend. The good news is that Jeff is feeling better, but the bad news is that he tore a muscle in his leg, which slowed him down a bit. This was our first true home game and the first time we kissed as man and wife after a touchdown in OU's stadium! It was cold, wet, and windy, not what you normally expect for the first few games of the season. We beat Idaho State 64-0.
On Sunday, Jeff had his first flag football game. His team's name is Victorious Secret, his suggestion. He is the quarterback; he did so well. With as much as it was raining, they had a hard time throwing the ball. It was a lot of fun! I came prepared with my chair, umbrella, rain-boots, and hot chocolate. He came prepared with his waterproof play sheet (and by that I mean he drew up plays on a sheet of paper and put it in a zip-lock bag; inventive, and it worked). They won and are currently the only MS1 team that is undefeated.
Jeff loves it when I take pictures!!! Can't you tell by his face? Below are some of his teammates. They humored me and posed for the camera...so cute! Left to right: Zack, Phillip, Aaron, Tyler, and of course, Jeffrey. Look at his muscles!!

decorating
My mind is on decorating, specifically how I can make our new home special. As we renovate and create our home I will periodically update you all on our progress. We want to share our journey with you all. Here are some images that I am finding inspiration in.

T1...only a few dozen more to go!
Jeff is taking his first med-school exam today! Wish him luck...he is really sick too, so hopefully he makes it through. Then, maybe he can come home for a nap, some hot soup, and a break.

make-up madness
I am so proud of my sister, Jennifer Gordon! She was the Bobbi Brown counter cosmetics manager at Balliet’s, but has just become the manager of the whole cosmetics department!
These pictures were taken on Kelly's wedding day...she made us both even more beautiful than we naturally are!! She is the best!
